Life insurance CEO says deaths are up an "unheard of 40%" among people ages 18-64.
"It may not all be Covid on their death certificate, but deaths are up just huge, huge numbers"
In the first part of this video, at around 21:20, Scott Davidson, President and CEO of OneAmerica, a 100 billion life insurance and retirement company, gives a synopsis of his company and discusses how most of his 2,400 employees have been working from home for the last two years. He said that working from home is, “getting to the point where that’s not working anymore.” His vaccinated employees are about 84% of the workforce. His vaccinated employees have made it clear, he said, that they won’t work with un-vaccinated co-workers. So he’s going to implement a mandate to retain and attract the type of people who want to work in his company.
Directly following this is, around 23:20 is where he remarks about the highest death rates his company has ever seen in the history of his business. He said that death rates are up 40% for primarily working-age people 18 to 64.
“What the data is showing to us is that the deaths that are being reported as Covid deaths greatly understate the actual death losses among working-age people from the pandemic. It may not all be Covid on their death certificate, but deaths are up just huge, huge numbers,” Scott Davidson said.
The KPVI article about Scott Davidson’s remarks reports there are more deaths from other causes and fewer deaths from Covid, but I don’t see what Davidson means by “huge, huge numbers.” What am I missing? I’m pretty tired.
The CDC weekly death counts, which reflect the information on death certificates and so have a lag of up to eight weeks or longer, show that for the week ending Nov. 6, there were far fewer deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana compared to a year ago – 195 verses 336 – but more deaths from other causes – 1,350 versus 1,319.
Scott Davidson also said, “Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three-sigma or a one-in-200-year catastrophe would be 10% increase over pre-pandemic. So 40% is just unheard of.”
Comment: I listened to the video and compared with this KPVI NBC news affiliate’s web site article that they get via content share with TownNews.com (like many do). I copied a sentence or two after listening a few times to the video to verify accuracy.
This CEO is pro-mandate. I think he’s a business man who, like many, still believes that the FDA is not the compromised entity it is today.
